Expanding Early Childhood Education: How States and Districts Can Use Federal Recovery Funds Strategically

States and School Districts should take advantage of federal recovery funds, particularly focusing their use of resources towards the expansion and improvement of early childhood education (ECE). This factsheet highlights how these funds can be used for various ECE initiatives, including classroom programs, professional development, and support services. States are encouraged to provide guidance to districts, and examples are provided from districts already utilizing Title I funds for ECE.
